My Skating Experience

Cea invited us to go skating at Mall of Asia after getting our books and I.D pictures in AC. I was with Myky, Cea, Nicole, and Bernice. Nicole and I didn't know how to skate so when we first stepped onto the ice we felt like we were going to fall because we couldn't find our balance. I couldn't move and my legs were shaking. I never knew it was this hard to skate. Me and Nikki were shouting "They make it seem so easy!". The both of us were struggling while Myky and Cea were having fun skating. I was so jealous at the little children skating, they were so cute, adorable, and so much better than me. So, Myky and Cea taught us how to skate properly. Yes, the "v" technique, the "lean-forward-but-not-too-forward" technique, and also the "be-one-with-the-ice" technique. While myky was teaching me, "snow" (which was actually just bubbles) started to fall down from the ceiling. Myky was like "look, it's snowing! let's go there!". That time, I still didn't know how to skate so myky just pulled me towards the snow but since I couldn't control my speed, I FELL, yes I fell. But, it was fun falling haha. I think people laughed at me (oh well, that's part of it, experience yan!). After that embarrassing moment I decided to rest for a while. I removed my skating shoes and whoalah! hello, blister!. Myky was kind enough to get me a band-aid from the kuya Med, Thank You :). Then, Bernice came, yey! But she stepped on her phone so it died :( R.I.P. After emo-ing with Bernice and Nicole for like 5 minutes, we went back to the rink. I was still struggling but at that time I already knew how to do the "v" technique my only problem was the balance and that's when Myky taught me the "use-your-hands-to-balance" technique. I practiced and practiced and practiced. After awhile I didn't notice that I was actually skating but not as good as the others. There were times when I was sliding involuntarily, luckily I was able to manage. I just skated and skated and after awhile I got the hang of it. Me and Bernice played snowball catching. It was hella fun but the others were tired so we decided to stop and grab something to eat. We ate at Shakey's, gosh I missed mojos!
So, that's it. I now know how to skate thanks to Cea and Myky and to Nicole and Bernice who were there to support me. Let's skate again! :))

El Dorado, Dumaguete

Here are the pictures (day 1) of our Dumaguete trip.
I loved the place where we stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. It was really peaceful. I felt so relaxed and I totally forgot all of my problems. I ate a lot of food and guess what? i didn't gain weight. Yey for me! That's probably because my sister and I swam most of the time.
The beach is wonderful, although it doesn't have the fine white sand of Boracay, It still is great with its super clean water. Bora has no match for it.
I had the most wonderful star viewing ever! The stars were just amazing, there were tons of 'em and i loved it. Here in manila when I look at the sky at night, the first thing I see is the small dipper and that's it but in Dumaguete i couldn't even see it because there were too many stars. It was beautiful.
The place where we stayed is usually for divers. Most of the people there were foreigners. Actually, we were the only Filipinos there except the staff. My sister and I felt like we were the foreigners and not them :))
Oh well, here are the pictures my sister took.

We arrived at Dumaguete

Our tree house. (We transferred on the 3rd night because we were attacked by spiders, geckos, mosquitoes, and bugs. [good thing walang ipis] Well, my mom said, at least you've experience how to sleep with nature). The beach.

Eclipse and The Alchemist

Yesterday I bought Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I was actually planning to buy all of the twilight series pero walang available na hardbound. I didn't want to buy the paperback edition because it easily gets dilapidated. However, the fully booked miss found a hardbound Eclipse. Thank You. I bought it together with Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist. I was super happy. When I got home, I felt really stupid for getting The Alchemist and not Veronika Decides to Die which I've been wanting to read since forever!! Oh well, I'll just buy that book next time and also Twilight and New Moon.

I just finished reading The Alchemist, by the way. It's really good and the ending's really funny, sorry, ang babaw pero it super made me smile. I'm planning to read it again but I don't see the connection of Narcissus with The Story of Santiago. Anyone who wants to tell me?

I've read Eclipse last year and the other two books of Stephanie Meyer. I know it's kind of like wasting money to buy Eclipse since I've read it but i love the story and I just want to have all the twilight series so I can read them over and over again. Oh, and I'm uber excited for the twilight movie. :P
