Thank you, Mushrooms!

At the start of this Semester, I honestly wanted to crash when I found out that we were reshuffled because that meant no more Triso group. I was so dejected. I didn't want to adjust to another set of RLE group since I find it very hard to establish camaraderie and the fact that I have the tendency to compare them to my previous groupmates. Well, things happen for a reason and through the many changes that's happened to me, I've learnt not question. The answer will always be unveiled at the end anyways.

To Diane, Tags, Ei, Lovely, Hans, Monique, Allen, Pao, Abby and Rhiz, I would like you guys to know how eternally grateful and thankful I am for the times we've spent together throughout all four rotations. There were misunderstandings and we got mad at each other, but that's normal right? At the end of the day, the most important thing is that we all passed and the group is still one. :)

Thanks for the support and for being there during the all nighters. It was a tough semester and there were new rotations but we all got through it. Goodjob, mushies! If I ever did something to hurt any of you, it wasn't my intention to. I'm sorry. Know that I love you and the experiences we had in the Delivery room, nursery, 5th rec and community are always going to be worth remembering. :>

Midterm Week

I really cannot find the words or construct the right sentences that would describe my midterm week. Last week's midterm was probably the toughest out of all the stressful weeks of my life. It was my very first to experience just an hour and a half of sleep for 2 consecutive days (though I know that the only person liable for this is myself due to my inability to manage my time wisely).

I didn't really study that hard though, most of my time was spent making kwento with my brother or eating my midnight snack for more than an hour and dancing in front of the mirror for another hour to get my energy up (but ending up getting tired after) then another 30 minutes thinking if i should just sleep first and study later. So yeah, as you can see I procrastinate...a lot.

It as been my problem since forever, I cannot seem to find my "studying time." I know that my brain is at its maximum at midnight but my body just wants to sleep during that time. So I dont really know how to fix this problem haha. I hate the fact that there's no 24 hours coffee shop in sucat. I can concentrate in coffee stores even if there are a lot of people...i dont know, it's the environment, the ambiance and the fact that no one bothers to disturb you.

Anyways, midterm week is done. Can't believe I survived. haha. I'm very thankful for my friends, like SUPER! as in I wouldn't have survived without them. :) Even though we were stressed, we just kept on laughing during our group study at Starbucks. SATURDAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE!!!! :> As in john and I were just laughing for 15 minutes non stop and it's been a while since i laughed like that so yeahh...ang saya! :))

On our way to Amici. John was pretending to be a statue.

EATING is the best stress reliever.

John studying for nutrition

Mapagpanggap :>

okay, eya. Ikaw na smart.

A date with Marga

With Midterms just around the corner and left and right submissions of Case studies, Concept maps and Nursing Care plans, It's been really hard for me to meet up with my first year college barkada (because our sections were reshuffled last year). I mean we rarely hang out and sometimes we don't even see each other in school.

So last Tuesday and Wednesday, I finally got to talk to Marga (We haven't talked for the longest time). We were at SB for 3 hours both days we never got bored. Even if we aren't really the type of friends who would sit down somewhere and share stories or talk over the phone every night.

( I missed you Margs! This was like our ultimate bonding experience haha! but seriously! I like sharing kwentos with you. )

I was reviewing for Pharmacology Unit test while Marga was talking about her love life. HAHAHA! We don't talk about the same things but we manage to understand each other :)
Plus, thank you to the Barista (the name's JP, if i'm not mistaken) for giving us free short peppermint mocha! YEY!

Me and Margs!

I had See's with me and Marga had carbonara (no picture though)

I also got to watch our old chem lab videos during first year on Marga's phone and I terribly miss those days! :(

Although I've been stressing on a lot of things these past few days, I realized that there are really lots of things to be happy about everyday! So smile :)

Head over feet

Have you ever had this feeling of having this great passion for studying? Like you just want to grab a book or an educational journal/magazine and read them from cover to cover and still yearn for more information?

I always have that feeling. Actually, i get that every morning of my life because i'm always (well, i'd like to believe that I am) driven to strive for my best. But wait, don't think of me as the smart-all-knowing student of the class... because i'm the exact opposite. I'm one of those students who nods in class and pretends that i'm interested in the lesson. I doodle on my planner rather than writing down notes. I'm one of the loudest in class and i sit at the back of the room so I can sleep. Yeah, that's pretty much how this semester has been and i'm quite disappointed with myself (duhh? who wouldn't?!). So, what exactly happened to the feeling of wanting to study?...As I've said, i get that feeling every morning but for some weird reason, when i enter the classroom...the feeling just fades away. It sucks, really. Because i expect myself to be a good student everyday but at the end of the day, i just get disappointed with myself. It's like a mood swing...y'know when you're at the height of something then it suddenly falls down and it annoys you because you want to go back but can't. It's tragic. AND IT HAPPENS TO ME EVERYDAY. Imagine trying to start a day off with this feeling of "this is a new day im gonna learn a lot of things" but the moment when you see school, you just wanna run back home.

I really don't know what's happening to meeeeeeeeeeee. I used to love going to school because i love learning new things. I used to love sitting in front of the class and trying my best to listen to the professor no matter how boring the lesson is. I want to be like that again. I want to have that energy and passion to go to school and learn.

Right now I feel like im going nowhere. I feel like a Mercedes-Benz being ignored. I know that i have so much in me and i can do more...i can achieve more.

I need an inspiration or something that will motivate me to start again. I need that passion back.

(I know it's Christmas break and talking about school isn't really a good idea because i'm supposed to relax and chill, but i can't help it! BECAUSE I FEEL SO USELESS AND STUPID.)

I'm not a Human Being

I wanted to start this blog entry with "Today..." But for some reason, i found it unsuitable and i've been starting entries with "todays" so for a change, why dont we start with YEHEY!

YEHEY!

k, cut.

I'll just use "today"

Today... well, i didnt like today. My morning didnt start out right. I mean, i was expecting it to be all fun and ...basta it just didnt turn out how i expected it to be. Anyway, i've probably tweeted "I miss school" several times during the break and efff my life, i TAKE EVERYTHING BACK. sembreak please hug me again! :(( Orientation just dragged me down and I know im supposed to be all positive and have this great outlook in life and just live life to the fullest blah blah. But this is just one of those days when I want to be negative. I know it's not going to bring me any good but i think that it's also nice to be down and sad once in a while. Dont ask me why.

Our RLE groups were reshuffled today and I'm with a new set of people. No more trisoGroup this semester. And it's so depressing because I want to be with that group til fourth year, because somehow, they bring out the best in me (no chos!). I even got teary-eyed this morning because i was the only one separated from the barkada. John, pat and arcee are in one group while i'm in a different one. I'm not saying that I don't like my new groupmates, it's just that I love my first sem RLE group so much that i'm now having a hard time accepting the fact that i'm in a new group. It's hard to imagine my duties without my daily dose of trisoness :(

Right now I'm hoping for the best and even though i'm having a hard time absorbing everything that's happened... I know that i'll get through this...because i always do....

....i dont know how but i will.

I can.

Cold hot air balloon

First week of second sem was such a roller coaster ride. Nothing else can explain it.
It was such a busy week and the schedule is just pamatay. torture.

so the highlight of the week would be our NCM and RLE class last thursday. It was awesome! I thought at first it would be boring and the CIs would be all serious...but they weren't! I learned a lot. :) I'm actually very excited for next week because we get to interview a patient..OMG! first ever "nursing" experience! hahah.

my brain is not working, i dunno what else to type :(

I just wanna say that i had fun the whole week :)

" I miss every page of my 1B life now where would i be this 2nd sem"

I got the title from cortado's status in facebook hahaha.

First sem of college finally over! Yep! that's right! 3 weeks without school :>
I know i won't make it to the dean's list but whatever... i gave my best shot and I'm happy :) although there are still moments when i remember those times when i was lazy to study and i chose sleeping over studying. :)) Next time, next time .. promise studying to the MAX na :)) :)) i will follow the guidelines i learned in pmsd. haha. I'm really excited for next sem! I know it'll be tougher and there's more stress but there are more nursing subjects and i think we get to have duties in the hospital/community :)

(is this our only IB pic? haha.)

I would like to thank my BSN 1B family for being there, for just the random tawanan and smiles. random hugs and random kwentuhans, goodmornings and goodbyes, random libres and kainans. (noticed the s? hahah). It's a shame we didn't all get to know each other... but the time spent together was worth it :) I will surely miss everyone :).

I'd also like to thank these people who made everything ok. You guys are the best! without you guys, ewan ko kung sang lupalop ng rtr ako mapupunta :)) haha. so thanks :) I know that next sem (if ever na ma-shuffle :() we'll have different barakadas, but just remember that you guys are the first AND THE FIRST WILL FOREVER BE THE BEST.

Marga, Aya, J, Arcee, Kaycee, John. I lalalalalove you guys..TO DEATH!

Introduction to Passports

During the the last english class I promised myself to continue writing passports. FYI, in english class, a passport is not a document used for the purpose of international travel but rather a document written on a 4x6 index card where we (the seniors of AC) write about anything we want to share to the teacher. I'm actually not sure why they're called passports...all i know is that when a student doesn't have a passport, she can't participate in class or she's sent out of the AV1 plus get 'sermoned' at.

My passports really helped me to just keep going, not to lose hope and live life.

Most of my entries were about stress, all my emo-ness, and i vent out too. What i really love about the passport is that the comments of my teacher just magically turns everything into the right place. You know how you feel very negative about yourself and then you read a piece of paper saying that 'it's ok' or 'good job!' then suddenly you feel like the whole world is smiling at you? Well, that's how i feel when i read the comments. They're like affirmations and affirmations save people :)

So from now on, every wednesday i will write a passport (which can be read by the whold world! :)) haha.) Comments are soo welcome! :)

Last Salu-salo

When we were in second year my friends and I started this whole thing about someone bringing food every other day. It was fun! coz the food was always yummy and it was for free haha. But we stopped when we were in third year because...wala lang. So, last monday we decided to have our last salu-salo! yehey! Cea brought brownies, I brought ice and utensils :), bernice - drinks, soph - cake, nicole and alex- lasagna, anna mars - bbq, and dana- liempo. grabe, busog kaming lahat. :)

Our salu-salo was more than just the food. It was the thing that brought us together and it was an opportunity to strengthen our bond with each other.

AC with you guys is home. Thanks for always being there for me and for making my life more colorful and fun!

Pioneer Radical Change

Pioneer Radical Change

Close your eyes
Look back and relive
All our firsts and adventures

Can’t you see
That we’ve made
This world so much better?

Gone through the motions
Living as a passer by
Until we spread our wings and teach the world to fly

It will all fit together
Don’t be scared to make that change
There’s a chance that we might fall
But we'll take a leap of faith

Chorus:
But for now won't you hold on me
Be the change that we want to see
As cliché as this line might be
Our dreams will be reality

Counterpoint:
But for now won't you hold on me // No distance will break us apart
Be the change that we want to see // It’s not the end it's just the start
As cliché as this line might be // The universe is ours to take
Our dreams will be reality // Still together in the change we make

No distance will break us apart
It's not the end it's just the start
The universe is ours to take
Still together in the change we make (prolong “make”)
(In the change we make)

Instrumental

We’ll never settle for the least we could achieve
The fear is there
But we don't care

The universe is ours to take
Still together in the change we make

Grad practice is gonna kill me

ok, super fast post coz my sister is going to use the PC!
I really hate our grad practice. It's really hot in the chapel and they make us repeat everything. I mean, they can't expect us to be perfect, they can't expect us to sit down all at the same time....I'm really annoyed. What's more irritating is the fact that it says in the circular that our dismissal is 12pm...do they dismiss us at 12? NOOOO! they dismiss us at 12:20pm, which is really unfair. That's beyond extension...kung 5 minutes ok lang ehh, pero hindi! 20 minutes?!
I was really pissed off in the chapel a while ago and i was about to cry. One of our CAs even told us that "girls, we're gonna practice assumpta est on monday since it's already time" HELLLO! it's 12:20..you think?! duhh! Kaasar. I felt really bad 'coz i was already shouting the songs and I know that it's not the proper way to behave in the chapel but i just really couldn't take it. arghhh!

It's almost over, goodbye highschool.

I can still remember the very first time I entered AC wearing the red plaid uniform. It was orientation day and I was late (haha). That was also the first time I entered the AV1 (which, if not all then most of us, never knew would be one of the most significant place in AC). Second day was "...a blur, a stressful, surreal blur (mean girls)" Everyone was shouting and the assumpta court was jam packed with people. I was super culture-shocked. For me, first year was hell. I didn't know how to adjust and I didn't know anyone, haha. All i can really remember right now are the days when I cried because i super, SUPER failed unit tests and exams. I was such a failure back then. My grades were just..eww. But first year wasn't that miserable and bad, because that year i met the nicest and the most generous friend ever...Ria Lim. She was (and still is ) always there for me. That year, I also met the two "bullies" - Mariel and Giselle. Oh my, i will never forget those days when you guys would just kick my chair during classes for no reason at all, well maybe for fun. yeah, tsk tsk. Bullies talaga! haha, but I learned that you guys are just really like that pala and somehow, I learned to love you. I miss those days when, ria, mariel giselle and i would talk about anime with AC, guia, missy and sam damaso. First year was also the year when i met laura, aubrey and conci and we would eat together and we were always groupmates (oh damn, that science 'predict-predict' project about fossil fuel that sir Cajigal made us do). My section, I-2 was...well the best! haha, hello, we won Shakespeare fest and pinoy dulamima! :P Oh! and that P.E cheer dance competition...haha, i was part of 'pep' under Elise. That was torture ahh but it was FUN!!! And of course, the most unforgettable field trip ever - Biak na Bato. Oh! i'd like to thank those people who made reviewers because without them...I'm probably still an undergrad right now. :P

Second year...
II-1: "We are a bunch of loners who finally found each other" Assumption with you guys was home. A shout-out to the best friends ever! Bernice, Cea, Nicole, Alex, Anna Marcy, Dana and Sophie! Life would've been boring without you guys. You made everything okay. I will never ever forget our mini salu-salo that most of the time ended up as a class food fest! Our never ending Maroon 5 and Panic at the Disco LSS

Pushing forward and arching back
Bring me closer to heart attack

I'd chime in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality...

I miss our retreat family..and Dana the Dora with her super short hair (and now super long!). I'll also never forget the new students that year. Sina campos, tish dalaygon, Luisa Benisano, eeka, issa, abby afable, and the others! ahah. oh yeah...who will forget that day when tish dalaygon punched herself during orals?! winner! :)) Second year was interaction year...with ateneo. I remember my partner was gabo yap..i think...yeah with bernice! We were also pissed off with our CA because she didn't allow us to present our interaction presentation! :) RAAAAKKKKEERR! Oh! sorry random, but do you guys remember that pinoy interpretative dance?.."anak, anak, anak ka ng asya?! " haha and II-1's ILANTAD MO, PAK PAK! I just love everything about II-1! My grades went up this year! haha. ETYOKLES! stupid florante and laura play but i had fun during the play yeah...morong guerero man! i forgot half of my lines. :P I had my first experience of an open party haha. We won Shakespeare choral again, Damn that blue and red cloth that i had to buy in carolinas. erg! oh my, our IP. shim I love you. haha.

Third year
I didn't know half of my class during the first week! haha. I was really sad because i felt alone and i really wanted to be with my second year section. Our barkada was separated. Alex, dana and I were in section 1. Nicole was in section 2, Cea in section 3 and Bernice, Sophie, and Anna Marcy were in section 4. Third year was really exciting coz of prom and that whole thing about Radical choice and chem and histo :)) haha. It was a very stressful year...tambak homework and tambak projects..cramming those reflection papers :|. I met a lot of people outside AC. We won pinoy dula sayaw awit or something haha. I miss being seatmates with Iano and Bea who decorated my planner with their pictures which made me look like a stalker! haha :) Who can forget intrams..everyone was against our batch! That little wedding in the MPH. :P . I don't remember na. Oh! tagaytay retreat :P

4th year
In my planner i wrote on the first day of june " Do not be afraid, learn how to take risks, learn to decide on your own...make good decisions, go out of the box and explore the world."
4th year - The most awaited year! This year was the most enriching and fulfilling thanks to the forever awesome English teachers. At first i was really scared because of research paper and the English teachers. I really thought they bite students. But they don't! I love them. I was super WOW-ed during my first double English period and the first passport. I learned a lot this past year! from love is an act of the will to live to the fullest! Fourth year was like english english English...and the research paper. I fell in love with the Av1 haha. I loved each and every lesson in English: Greek mythology, short stories, essays, poems, biographies, RP, media ed, Les Miserables, and Hamlet.
This year i was the pinoy beadle and Nicole too :) I got super close to Roxy and Bea A - The triggies! I totally went out of my box. :} I joined CIC, and i love them. Going through those interviews was scary and funny at the same time. I love you Kat and Nikki. Counting points during fair point drive was no joke. This year we started going to different universities to get applicationforms. I hated and loved filling up those application forms and taking those entrance exams. Kapatiran! hello Marlou, sorry i was a useless kapatiran sister :P. This year was full of lasts and full of firsts and i'm lazy to list them down. The really awesome first ever legacy concert. One month of hell because of integration week - Mall of Asia. Mboys :P Our Baguio retreat with father Edwin! The best retreat ever! CAT at the Mph and CAT hours spent in GK. and yes, INTRAMS! :) you know what happened.

The very stressful research paper! do you remember....
those days when we had to sacrifice our lunches just to run after the teachers...
those days when we had to go to the national library and bear the evilness of the people and the very hot temperature and the smell of old newspapers...
those sleepless nights and cups of coffee..
those wasted 3x5 and 5x8 index cards...
those days when some of us had to stay 'til 6pm at school just to submit something or make the teachers approve stuff...
Research Topic: How research paper causes mental retardation to students :P
those days of sembreak when we had to go to school to pick up our outline...
those useless days of sembreak..wait we didn't have a break :|
those bloody red marks on your RP draft that you worked so hard for...
those wasted illustration boards that some of us threw because we couldn't think of a graphic representation...
those nights we spent memorizing our bibliographies ( i had 21 :()...
Those minutes spent...shouting and jumping and shaking coz we were so scared...
Those seconds spent praying to God that your classmate will not pick your brown envelope...and
those horrible and I'm-going-to-die minutes spent on the platform explaining our research paper and praying to God at the same time....?
Research paper was hell but it taught me a lot of things and helped me 'go out of my box and explore the world'. It was fulfilling, it's something I'd want to experience again.

everything was so fast. I can't believe high school is almost over.
I'm totally gonna miss everything!

When you set out on your journey to Ithaca,
pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
Ithaca has given you the beautiful voyage.
Without her you would have never set out on the road.

Bla bla

Yesterday, Cea, Bernice and I went to greenbelt to watch watchmen. I think that movie was too heavy for us especially after physics (no, I'm not going to put CLE coz that exam was a joke) TE. It was morbid and violent. we couldn't believe it was just R-13. See we should've just watched you changed my life. Haha. But the movie was good :)

I'm really lazy to study for exams. I'll probably start studying after lunch. I don't know if i should still read all the stories in lit, they're too long. I'm never gonna be able to study here at home because of the computer...My hand just can't push the power button and turn it off. haha. I'll probably go to starbucks...haha that place has been my library for the past week. I remembered last wednesday, Missy, Alex and I went to G4 to have a group study at starbucks...It was helpful. haha, especially with the smell of coffee around me :))

Studying with friends is actually a good idea (unless the subject you're studying for requires memorizing). pero you can get really sabaw with them! There was one time, we were at missy's place, I was memorizing the stuff about momentum and i said "the MOMENTUTY.." haha, and i said it thrice! and we played wii pa :)) and we were throwing chips at each other and shouting at each other..yeah :)

oh shoot! I don't have math notes pala :| and i don't really get math :))...gosh, i hate math.

but i'm just really happy (and sad at the same time) that this is the last TE ever! I can't believe i was able to survive 4 comprehensive TEs. torture, man, torture.

oh yeah, i hate the grad practice schedule :| we only have one free day:| and they should've made everything half day :\
ergh!
but ohh well.... :)) last month in AC. (insert happy or/and sad face).

Debate

It's actually fun :)) HAHA.
Kyla C. ate us alive! hahha.
But it's not really bad... you actually learn a lot from it.
It's something I'd love to do again..even if the opponent's really strong and smart! :]

I'm supposed to be doing CLE reflections

This day was a roller coaster ride :)
Thank You English class for always inspiring me to live life to the fullest, haha. During English class today Mrs. Villalon asked us to write an affirmation to the person we would like to thank the most. I really grabbed this opportunity because I've been wanting to affirm the person i affirmed, haha. I super love her! I received two affirmations from the most unexpected people from my class. To P (feeling gossip girl, haha), I also love reviewing before math tests with you. You make me confident too. Thanks for believing in me, even if I'm not that good in math. More reviews to come! It's funny pa how we review in fromt of the whole class sa blackboard :)). To S, that was totally unexpected! ..coz, i thought you hated me! hahah. Thanks for the affirmation, you totally made my day today. Thanks also for the hug during CAT. Hope we get to know each other more. haha thanks pinoy play?! I love you back, front diagonal mate.
I recited a lot in English today, esecially during the agree or disagree part of the class. Oh! no one failed the English UT! :) good job! This day was really woah great! I cried during physics though. College problems plus the headache from math = kawawa sydney. Pau, thank you for your mini paper. "Be happy, Syd :>" aww pauuuu! thanks you have no idea how much that made me smile na dthanks for the tissue also! haha. ohhh! Thank you to all my seatmates! I love you guys forever; Kara, Pau, Bea E., Sasa, Roxy, Ria, Alex, and Dana (haha, ok dana's special mention, she's not my seatmate!) Alternative Christmas '08

Leanne and I had to take care of two inseparable kids but this was the best alt. Christmas ever. I had so much fun taking care of those two and chasing them up and down the stairs. Leanna's partner was Abba and my partner was Pope (His real name is Juan Carlos but he told me that he wants to be a pope so people call him pope, cutie :''>). This year we had stations with our group, C5. The first station was Christmas card making. This was my card..

haha.. :|
Pope wasn't able to make me one 'coz i dunno, i think he didn't know what to write...yeah, he wasted more than 5 papers thinking of a design. But it's ok, at least he tried, haha.
ADR's kid was sooo talented ok! his card design was this...

...Sorry na. :) that's a nice card for such a small kid. Parehas silang magaling magdrawing . :P

Second station was the CatWalk. We had to choose one kid and dress her/him up with the materials provided. So the materials were crepe papers and newspapers.

Meet Ivy..she's so cute :)) with her bag (which icia and i made :P) She didn't win though...

He did...ahh the name's Alfred, i think :))

3rd station was the Christmas dance..yeah :P Abba (Leanne's kid) was soo into it.
4th station (the last one) Cookie making :)

Pope with his cookie :) Abba with his cookie :)

So there! haha. fun! :) We had lunch then we gave them gifts...then, goodbye!

(i look stupid in this picture :| :)))
I love pope even though he doesn't like me (I think). haha.
